Spring 2008
Spring is here and it is time to brighten and warm up your jewelry designs with the Jewelry
making trends of the season!
Colors: bright, bold, and natural such as colorful gemstones and pearls.
Hot Color and Gemstone trends:
Yellow- citrine, yellow topaz, amber, yellow pearls, lemon quartz
Purple- amethyst, fluorite
Red- coral, cherry quartz
Pink- rose quartz, fluorite, rhodonite, pink diamonds, pink pearls
Green- peridot, chalcedony, green turquoise
Blue- blue quartz, Sapphires, lapis lazuli, blue jade, turquoise, blue opals, moonstone, aquamarine
Gold and Silver: chain, beads, and findings.
Gray: gray onyx, labradorite, gray toned pearls
Nature: wood, gemstones, stone, flowers, leaves
Charms and pendants: vintage, nature inspired, and large gemstone drops.
Metals: oxidized metals, hammered and textured, and a strong use of Gold, but silver still
remains popular.
Rings: rings are going to remain a popular item for the season. The bigger the better. Use bold
colorful gemstones to add bling, shine, and color to your designs. Also a great way to use
those left over beads!
Necklaces and Bracelets: Bold chunky and natural. Mix stones and colors.
